ANME – l’Agence Nationale de Maitrise de l’Energie – the National Agency for Energy Management is a non-profit public sector organization, and a financially independent corporate body.

As an independent public organization, ANME is overseen, administratively, by the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Energy Transition (Ministère de l’Energie, des Mines et de la Transition Energétique).

ANME’s mission is to design and implement Tunisian national policy in the field of energy management.

This is achieved through the promotion of energy rational use, the development of renewable energies and facilitating the transition to energy with less harmful environmental impact.

We can use Conservation as mentioned in our official documents (MoU , TdR , Brochure ...)but even the term Management is correct : we have to choose one of them.

The scarcity of national natural resources along with the increase of energy demand leads Tunisia to initiate an energy transition process focusing on the increase of the share of renewable energies in the production of electricity in order to reach 12% by 2020 and 30% by 2030, in comparison to the current 3%. Indeed, the objective is to reach a renewable electric power of 3815 MW by 2030.
