National Agency for Energy Conservation welcomes a delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini to strengthen cooperation on the energy transition

As part of efforts to strengthen international cooperation :handshake: and promote the exchange of expertise in the field of energy transition, Mr. Nafaâ Baccari, Director General of the National Agency for Energy Conservation, welcomed a delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Agency’s headquarters in Tunis. The meeting was attended by a representative of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, together with senior officials from the Agency.
The meeting provided an opportunity to present Tunisia’s experience in energy conservation and energy transition. Discussions focused on:

the mandate of the National Agency for Energy Conservation and its role in implementing the national energy policy;
the Energy Transition Fund as a financing mechanism supporting energy efficiency and renewable energy projects;
the main indicators related to Tunisia’s energy transition;
the Agency’s role as the technical coordinator for the preparation of the national greenhouse gas emissions inventory and climate reporting.
The delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini commended the Agency’s significant achievements in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency, noting that they provide a strong foundation for expanding bilateral cooperation in these areas.
On this occasion, the delegation emphasized that the visit, carried out within the framework of promoting cooperation and sharing successful experiences, enabled its members to gain first-hand insight into Tunisia’s experience in advancing the energy transition and to explore new opportunities for future collaboration.
