Since its creation in 1985, the National Agency for Energy Conservation has carried out two strategic studies for the development of renewable energies, one in the early 1990s and the second in the early 2000s. In continuation with this process of updating the country's long-term vision in this area, the ANME launched a strategic study in 2012 on the development of renewable energies by 2016, 2020 and 2030. In addition to critical analysis In addition to a critical analysis of the achievements on the renewable energies field in Tunisia, the study presents an assessment of the potential for the development of renewable energies, sets medium- and long-term penetration targets for the different sectors and defines the necessary action plans to reach the objectives set.
