As part of strengthening cooperation and partnership with the media sector and in support of the objectives of Tunisia’s National Energy Transition Strategy, Mr. Nafaâ Baccari, Director General of the National Agency for Energy Conservation, inaugurated the fifth edition of the “Journalists: Ambassadors of the Energy Transition” initiative.
The Agency is organizing this session from 15 to 17 July 2026 in Tabarka for journalists from the governorates of the North-West region (Bizerte, Béja, Jendouba, and Le Kef), with the participation of 14 journalists representing the print, online, television, and radio media.
The first day featured a series of scientific and technical presentations delivered by experts from the National Agency for Energy Conservation and the Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas (STEG).
The programme will continue through an intensive and comprehensive training programme delivered by experts from both institutions.
As part of the initiative, the Agency has also scheduled a field visit for participants to discover a recently completed flagship project implemented under the Energy Transition Programme for Public Institutions, with the aim of reinforcing the essential role of the media in supporting national efforts to advance the energy transition.
