Mr. Nafaâ Baccari, Director General of the National Agency for Energy Conservation, delivered a presentation during the second day of the International Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility, held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Tunis.
He stressed that reducing carbon emissions in the industrial sector is no longer an environmental luxury, but has become an urgent economic necessity. This approach is particularly important for companies exporting to the European Union, in order to ensure the continuity of their exports and strengthen their competitiveness in international markets.
  He also highlighted that, since its establishment in 1985, the Agency has been placing its expertise at the service of industrial companies by providing technical and financial support through the significant incentives offered by the Energy Transition Fund, including:
   Support for studies and technical assistance: a grant covering up to 70% of the costs of studies and technical assistance in the field of carbon accounting.
   Investment incentives: grants ranging from 20% to 50% of the cost of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
 The Director General emphasized that the main objective is to enable industrial companies to adopt cleaner production methods and optimize energy consumption, thereby strengthening the position of Tunisian products in international markets.
Furthermore, Mr. Mohamed Ali Saffi, Director of Energy Efficiency in the Industrial Sector, delivered a presentation highlighting the key achievements accomplished through cooperation with the national industrial sector, while also presenting the various support mechanisms and incentives provided by the Energy Transition Fund to accelerate transformation in this strategic field.
