Thus, ANME has obtained numerous distinctions at various international events and has been ranked at the top of several countries on the southern shore of the Mediterranean and the African continent in the areas of Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy and Climate Change.
This notoriety has earned him to be among the founders of several initiatives and institutions such as MEDENER, RCREEE, IRENA, MEDREC and AFRENER.
- MEDENER
ANME is a founding member of the Mediterranean Association of National Energy Agencies (MEDENER) created in 1997 in Djerba-Tunisia, the MEDENER association brings together 12 organizations from both north and south shores of the Mediterranean (ADEME-France, ADENE -Portugal, IDAE-Spain, CRES-Greece and ENEA-Italy, AMEE-Morocco, ANME-Tunisia, APRUE-Algeria, ALMEE-Lebanon, NERC-Syria, NERC-Jordan and PEC-Palestinian Authority), and recently accession of Malta. Indeed, ANME, a strong supporter of the MEDENER network (north and south banks), has assumed the presidency of MEDENER at various periods, the last period of which extends between 2016-2018, which allowed it to modify and improve the status and internal regulations of the said Association, to contribute to the launch of the Euro-Mediterranean platform for energy efficiency and renewable energies of the UfM and to position itself as co-host of this platform. ANME also contributed to the financing of the MEDENER project -MEETMED (Mitigation Enabling Energy Transition in the Mediterranean Region)-, the first Mediterranean project financed by the EU within the framework of the UfM EE&ER platform. www.medener.org (COP22 photo loop handover of the ANME Presidency to ENEA Italy in 2018)
- IRENA
Tunisia has been a member of IRENA since its creation in 2009, (see link: www.irena.org/) ANME is Tunisia's focal point at IRENA, and coordinates all these activities in full consultation with the Ministry of guardianship. In addition, ANME is a member of the IRENA General Assembly. Recently, ANME contributed to the development of the Study on the Renewable Energy Readiness Assessment (RRA) considered as a comprehensive tool for assessing the key conditions for the development and deployment of Renewable Energy technologies in a country, as well as the actions necessary to improve these conditions. This study has been finalized and will soon be published on the website of IRENA, the supervisory ministry and ANME.
- RCREEE
The RCREEE brings together 17 members, namely Algeria, Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen. Tunisia has been an active member in the activities of the regional center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) since its creation in 2008, (see link: www.rcreee.org)
ANME is Tunisia's focal point at RCREEE, ANME cooperates with RCREEE in energy efficiency and renewable energy actions and projects. Two reports were developed as part of the collaboration with the Center, namely National Energy Efficiency Action Plans (NEEAP) and National Renewable Energy Action Plans (NREAP) of Tunisia. RCREEE collaborates with ANME within the framework of the transfer of know-how in the field of energy management, particularly energy efficiency, from Tunisia to Arab countries, it also collaborates with ANME within the framework of MEDENER (meeTMED project).
- MEDREC -GiE-
MEDREC was created within the framework of a Memorandum of Understanding signed on January 26, 2004, between the Italian Ministry of the Environment, Land and Sea "MIETM", the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Small and Medium Enterprises and the National Agency for Energy Management “ANME”. The two parties agreed after years the transformation of the old MEDREC by the new MEDREC in its new form of economic interest group "GIE" and this, through the signing of the new statute dated November 26, 2015. The goal This status allows the autonomy of the center's activities. MEDREC is the fruit of Tunisian-Italian cooperation. MEDREC adopts Italian and Tunisian co-management (designated co-director of ANME).
- Mediterranean Energy Observatory -OME-
ANME has carried out cooperation actions with the OME, particularly within the framework of the MEDENER/ADEME cooperation (See link: http://www.ome.org/)
- AFRENER (African Association of Institutions in charge of Energy Management)
ANME regularly welcomes delegations from several mainly African countries who come to inquire about the Tunisian experience in the field of Energy Management and the majority of whom ask ANME to assist them in the implementation of Agency similar to ANME in their respective countries. Launch: Like the MEDENER Association, the creation of an African Association of Institutions in charge of Energy Management was launched in October 2017, on the sidelines of the international event "ENERSOL2017" on Energy Sustainable, organized by the National Agency for Energy Management “A.N.M.E.” and ATLAS Consult, on October 17, 18 and 19, 2017 at the headquarters of the Tunisian Union of Industry, Commerce and Crafts (UTICA) in Tunis.
The creation of the Association resulted in the signing of a declaration of intent by seven institutions operating in the field of energy management in Africa, the founding countries of AFRENER, Benin, Burkina Faso , Djibouti, Guinea Bissau, Senegal, Mauritania, Tunisia and Libya, 4 other countries have expressed their interest in joining this network as soon as possible, namely South Africa, Algeria, Mali and Togo.
